Are you looking for a new fitness challenge or a reason to get in the pool? Then why not try Swimathon?
It’s the perfect challenge for swimmers of all ages, abilities and levels of fitness – with the added benefit of raising money for two amazing charities - Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie.
What is Swimathon?
Swimathon is the world’s largest annual fundraising swimming challenge, supporting two incredible charities: Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie.
In 2023 Maidstone Leisure Centre, along with over 450 pools across the UK, will be hosting Swimathon sessions over the weekend 12th – 14th May 2023.
Participants can take part in any distance from 400m all the way up to the 30.9km which is just over 19 miles, there really is a #SwimForAll.
If you can’t make the Swimathon weekend (12th – 14th May 2023) or if you just fancy a bit more flexibility to your Swimathon challenge, take advantage of MySwimathon or MySwimathon Lite!
This entry option allows you to swim any distance (one of the set challenges or make up your own) and at any time between Friday 28 April and Sunday 21 May 2023.
To access the benefits of the swimathon sessions you need to raise £50 for the charities.
How to get involved
To take part in this year’s event, go to the Swimathon website and register yourself or your team and pay your entrance fee. Once you’ve registered, you’re free to start swimming and raising money.
Who is Swimathon for?
Swimathon has a wide range of challenges, available for swimmers of all abilities, ages and experiences! Beginners, experts, short and long distances, individual or team entries, hosted sessions or independent swimmers, there is a challenge to suit everyone!
